Prevention Supervision

Prevention supervision is a collaborative, strengths-based process designed to support prevention professionals as they grow in confidence, competence, and leadership. Through individualized guidance, reflective practice, and skill development, supervision helps practitioners strengthen their ability to plan, implement, and evaluate effective prevention strategies while maintaining ethical and professional standards. Drawing from evidence-based prevention principles and real-world experience, supervision provides a supportive space to discuss challenges, build leadership capacity, enhance communication and facilitation skills, and prevent burnout in this demanding field. Whether you are new to prevention work or a seasoned professional seeking continued growth, prevention supervision offers practical insight, accountability, and encouragement to help you lead meaningful and sustainable community change.

Our Approach

Goals of Supervision: 


  1. To monitor and ensure effective prevention interventions and services are provided. 

  2. To promote the Supervisee’s professional development in prevention interventions. 

  3. To ensure adherence to the ethical and legal standards of the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board Prevention Code of Ethics.

In-person and remote options

Once a supervision contract is in place, it can be decided whether there will be in-person, remote via Zoom, or a combination.
